Become an Accredited Centre

Registration is carried out in person at accredited centres. Applying grants nothing — every application is considered by the State Command and decided by the National Headquarters.

What an accredited centre does

Registration of members is carried out in person, at centres accredited by the National Headquarters, one or more in each Local Government Area. Each centre has a named registerer whose name is recorded against every registration they take.

Accreditation is not automatic and it is not bought. An application is considered by the State Command for the state concerned, and then decided by the National Headquarters.

Who may apply

  • An existing Local Government or Ward command of the Group.
  • A community body, secretariat or business premises able to receive applicants during working hours, in the Local Government Area it serves.
  • The premises must have a room where a person can be photographed and their documents examined without being overheard.
  • The proposed registerer must have a working smartphone with a camera, and be available on the number given.

Before you apply

The registerer’s name is attached permanently to every member they register. It is not a job that can be handed to whoever is available on the day. Nominate someone who will still be answerable for those records in two years.

Apply for accreditation

Applying grants nothing. You will be contacted by the State Command or the National Headquarters.

Where the National Headquarters writes to this centre — including the link and PIN that let your registerer begin work. Give an address the contact person reads themselves, not a shared one, and check it carefully: an address with a typo in it means waiting on a message that will never arrive.

The person who would take registrations. May be the same as the contact above.

What happens next

  1. State Command review. The command for your state considers whether the centre is needed and suitable in that Local Government Area.
  2. National Headquarters decision. Accreditation is granted or refused at national level. These are two separate decisions, taken by different offices.
  3. Registerer invitation. If accredited, the nominated registerer is sent a personal link and, separately, a PIN. Both are needed to activate.

The registerer’s link is personal

It must not be forwarded, shared with a colleague, or used on a second device. Every registration taken through it is recorded in that person’s name, and they will be answerable for it.
